Detroit DJ Carl Craig’s Party/After-Party was an idea he had years ago, but it debuted during the pandemic at the basement of New York’s Dia Beacon. The exhibition turned the museum into an empty dance club with techno music and special lighting. Now, the exhibition is at the Geffen Contemporary at MOCA, and it includes live performances. You can experience the feeling of being at a club in the middle of the day while walking around the museum. The music changes as you move through the space, and the sound is very loud, so it might damage your hearing. Stick around until the end to hear a ringing sound that mimics Craig’s tinnitus.
